As a basketball player you need to be able to , pass the ball, catch the ball, and how to control the ball. In order to have these ball handling skills then you need to use your fingertips. Basketball players need to have some strength in their hands and the fingertip drill will help with that. This drill is real easy to do and can be done sitting, standing lying down, heck even while running. You hold the ball out in front of you or slightly above your head. Then you tap the ball back and forth kind of like when you are playing volleyball. In volleyball you tip the ball over the net with your fingertips. You will do the exact same thing when you are doing the fingertip drill. Toss the ball gently back and forth like you are tossing feathers. I know the drill does not seem very exciting, but that is how it is done.
